One of the greatest challenges for the profession in the 21st century is, undoubtedly, diversification. A session will be organized on Wider Fields. The topic to be discussed during this session is: in what other areas of economy or business (aside from the traditional ones) may we further the role of actuaries.

Curriculum
Jean Berthon is a former chairman of an institutionnal portfolio management company of the Worms Group in Paris. He has been working since 1968 for several others banks French banks and Institutions in the same activities. Currently he is Délégué Général de l'Institut des Actuaires and associate professor in Finance at the Paris 6 University. He is Chairman of AFIR/ERM and a past president of both the Institut des Actuaires and the International Actuarial Association.
