Biographical Sketch: Max Rudolph is the founder of Rudolph Financial Consulting, LLC in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. His consulting practice focuses on risk management tools that help organizations make better decisions, leveraging regulatory tools such as ORSA and using common sense. A frequent presenter and award winning author, Max is noted for his annual financial predictions and strong ERM network. He currently serves on the CFA Nebraska board.
Max has completed research projects relating to the annual Survey of Emerging Risks, Insurer Risks in a Low Interest Rate Environment, U.S. Insurance Company Investment Strategies in an Economic Downturn, Value Investing and ERM: Two Sides of the Same Coin, and ERM as applied to Health Insurers. He has helped insurance companies develop their ERM process and look for ORSA gaps, working with senior management and the board. Max has developed on-line modules and live seminars related to ERM and investment topics. He was named a thought leader in the ERM discipline and has spoken at many universities, companies, and risk management seminars. He has served the actuarial profession in a number of roles, including the Society of Actuaries Board of Governors and Chair of the Investment Section. Max chaired the ERM Symposium, chaired the Investment Symposium, led the ERM Strategy Task Force and served on the Actuarial Standard Board’s Enterprise Risk Management Task Force. He graduated from Michigan Technological University with degrees in Mathematics and Engineering Administration, is a credentialed actuary and CFA charter holder.
