Biographical Sketch: Barry Franklin currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for Zurich’s General Insurance businesses in the US and Canada. Barry has spent the past 15+ years focused on Enterprise Risk Management for both commercial enterprises and insurance companies.
Barry is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA). He is the former VP-ERM of the CAS, chairs the Joint Risk Management Section Council of the CAS, Society of Actuaries and Canadian Institute of Actuaries, and represents the CAS on the CERA Global Association Board. He holds a BS in Probability and Statistics from Northern Illinois University.
