Biographical Sketch: Andreas Graser is the chief risk officer for Allianz Life Insurance Company ofNorth America(Allianz Life) and leads the corporate risk management department. In this role, Andreas is responsible for internal and external risk capital modeling, new product reviews, hedge effectiveness monitoring as well as operational risk management and top risk assessment.
Prior to joining Allianz Life in 2007, Andreas held senior leadership positions in the finance area of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company as VP Planning and head of commercial business finance. Andreas has been with the Allianz Group since 2000 when he joined the Allianz Group Planning and Controlling department. Before that, Andreas worked as a quantitative analyst in Dresdner Bank’s Risk Controlling area.
Andreas is originally fromWuerzburg,Germany. He holds a MS Degree in Mathematics from the University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a masters degree in business mathematics (Diplom Wirtschaftsmathematik) from the University of Ulm, Germany.
