Biographical Sketch: Tarmo Koll has graduated with MSc in mathematics from Tartu University, Estonia. During his actuarial studies he was a scholarship holder at Bacon&Woodrow office in Epsom, UK. Since 2004 he is a Fully Qualified Actuary and member of Estonian Actuarial Society.
Tarmo has 17 years of working experience in insurance industry. He has been responsible for product development, pricing, reserving and risk modeling in different companies. Currently he is the Appointed Actuary of ERGO Insurance SE, a non-life company operating in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. He is responsible for the actuarial work currently described as the Actuarial Function under the Solvency II legislation.
Tarmo has also held position at ERGO International AG where he gained a lot of international experience being responsible for reviewing the technical reserves and insurance portfolios of different ERGO companies in Europe.
Tarmo is the current president of Estonian Actuarial Society. He also serves as a chairperson of the Advice and Assistance committee of the International Actuarial Association and is the member of the Executive Committee of the IAA.
Tarmo is the owner of a small actuarial consulting firm in Estonia. He is married and has 4 children.
