Biographical Sketch:
Gail Tverberg worked as an actuary in the insurance industry from 1970 to 2007, first at CNA (in both pricing and reserving) and later as a consultant at Towers Watson. Since 2007, she has indpendently researched the way oil limits are affecting the economy. Her primary site for writing is her blog, OurFiniteWorld.com. She also writes for academic journals, and speaks to a wide range of audiences, including academic and actuarial audiences. Examples of her writing include "Our Finite World: Implications for Actuaries" in May/June 2007Contingencies;  "Expected Impact of Oil Limitations on the Property Casualty Insurance Industry" in CAS e-Forum in December 2010, and "Oil Limits and the Continuing Financial Crisis" in the peer reviewed journal Energy in January 2012.
