Biographical Sketch: Greig Woodring is President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated. Prior to becoming President, Mr. Woodring served as Executive Vice President of General American Life Insurance Company (now GenAmerica Financial L.L.C.), in charge of all reinsurance business. Mr. Woodring joined General American in 1979 as an actuary, and assumed responsibility for General American's reinsurance business in 1986. Before joining General American, he was an actuary at United Insurance Company in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Woodring's leadership and experience have been pivotal in helping to make RGA one of the world's leading life reinsurance companies, with more than $2.9 trillion dollars of life reinsurance in force. Mr. Woodring is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mathematics from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. He serves as a director and officer of many RGA subsidiaries.
