Biographical Sketch: Vicki Yamasaki, CRO, leads ERM and reports to the CEO. She chairs OneAmerica’s Enterprise Risk Committee (ERC) and serves on other committees including liquidity, capital management, financial disclosure, and product review. Vicki also manages rating agencies and M&A for OneAmerica and is involved in strategic planning.
As thought leader and architect of OneAmerica’s enterprise risk framework, Vicki and the ERC take a 3600 view which include strategic, operational and financial risks. Major accomplishments include: 1) a recent upgrade in OneAmerica’s ERM Score to Strong by S&P (elevating OneAmerica to the top 11% in the industry) and 2) being one of a small number of companies to participate in the ORSA pilot conducted by the NAIC in 2012 and 2013.
Prior to joining OneAmerica, Vicki was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in their Global Risk Management Practice in the life insurance sector. .
Vicki is a summa cum laude accounting graduate from University of Houston. Vicki will be the incoming chair of the LOMA ERM Committee, ACLI Global Risk Management Committee, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and president for Financial Executives International-Indianapolis.
