AIG Property Casualty
Biographical Sketch: Robert S. Schimek is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Americas for AIG’s property casualty business. He is responsible for the division’s insurance business in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Previously, Mr. Schimek was located in London where he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of EMEA. Before that, Mr. Schimek was Chief Financial Officer of the division, responsible for all worldwide financial operations.
Before joining AIG, Mr. Schimek was a partner at Deloitte & Touche L.L.P. where, for 18 years, he used his public accounting experience to serve global financial institution clients, including MetLife, The Prudential, and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Schimek is a C.P.A. He earned his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Rider University in New Jersey. Mr. Schimek sits on the Rider University President’s Council and the Accounting Advisory Council as an alumni member. Mr. Schimek is a member of the Board of Directors of BritishAmerican Business.
