Biographical Sketch: William (Bill) Collins recently completed a one-year fellowship with the International Labor Organization’s Microinsurance Innovation Facility. He worked with a Kenyan insurance company to develop insurance programs catered to the needs of Kenya’s working poor. Before working in Kenya, Bill worked on life, automobile, and crop insurance in the U.S. He has a bachelors of science in mathematics with honors from the University of Kansas. Bill is a member of the Casualty Actuarial Society. He has guest lectured on actuarial science at Strathmore University (Nairobi) and serves on the IAA Task Force on Microinsurance and the CAS International Member Services Committee. Currently, Bill works at Esurance, managing customer experience and retention analytics.
