Biographical Sketch: Rejean Besner is leading the effort to ensure that Swiss Re Group is compliant with the Solvency II directive by the implementation deadline. The project team also works closely with other functions within Swiss Re to ensure that the company remains the partner of choice for companies operating within the scope of Solvency II.
An actuary by profession, Rejean has worked for different reinsurance and consulting firms in a variety of technical and managerial roles. In the course of his career, he has lived and worked in five different countries.
Rejean holds a BSc. in actuarial sciences from l'Université Laval in Québec and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
