Biographical Sketch: William is a principal with the Boston office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2001.
William has consulted extensively on financial reporting issues involving embedded value calculations, as well as IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and U.S. statutory accounting issues. He has served as appointed actuary for several life insurers in the United States and Bermuda.
William has also consultned on mergers and acquisitions and mutual company reorganizations, including demutualizations, and alternative financing structures, including securitizations, captive insurance companies, and reinsurance transactions.
William is involved in committee work of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA) and the International Actuarial Association (IAA), and currently serves in the following capacities:
- Vice-President, AAA Risk Management and Financial Reporting Council
- Vice-chair, IAA Insurance Accounting Committee
- Co-Chair, IAA Education & Practice Subcommittee.
