Congress Program Overview
The program for ICA 2014 includes more than 100 individual parallel sessions, four plenary sessions, two limited attendance sessions (and two limited educational tours), plus at least poster presentations in the Town Square. An overview of the schedule is available. You may go to the Detailed Session Schedule to see the schedule and description of all sessions. A mobile app will be available shortly which will allow attendees to get real-time schedule and speaker updates, the most current version of the list of attendees, maps of the resort property and meeting space information.
In total, delegates attending the full week of ICA 2014 will have access to up to 30.75 hours of continuing education; delegates attending the first or second half of the week will have access to up to 17.75 hours of continuing education. More information is available on continuing education credit for ICA 2014.
While attending the full week of ICA 2014 is the best continuing education value, registration packages are available for the first half of the week (Sunday evening through Wednesday) and for the second half of the week (Wednesday through Friday).
- Sessions related to life insurance; and to pensions, employee benefits, and social insurance will be concentrated in the first half of the week.
- Sessions related to health insurance; and to general insurance / non-life / property-casualty insurance will be concentrated in the second half of the week.
- Sessions related to ERM, professionalism, education, and other topics of general interest will be available in each half of the week.
In addition to the sessions, there are opportunities for delegates to network with one another, sponsors, speakers, and guests at various social events and breaks. The Town Square is the location for all refreshment breaks, breakfasts, poster presentations, and sponsor booths.
Business casual attire is suggested for the meeting sessions and the Sunday evening reception. It is best to wear layered clothing as meeting rooms tend to fluctuate in temperature. Please dress in business attire for the Thursday evening gala dinner.
