Task Forces

Advance the competency of the profession with respect to AI by creating awareness of the risks and opportunities related to AI, facilitating knowledge sharing, and educating actuaries. 

Promote the role of the actuary in existing and emerging wider fields and raise its profile.

Prepare the IAA, as the voice of the global actuarial profession, to proactively engage with Supranational organizations on AI-related risks and provide actuarial perspectives in their own related initiatives.

The IAA initiative on Diversity and Inclusion is predicated on a very simple, yet profound principle: “Every actuary has the potential to significantly contribute to our profession”. The IAA is committed to deliver on our mission, and live our values, by actively encouraging more meaningful participation by women, racial minorities, geographically diverse and younger actuaries. Broadening participation in our process by including all who offer a wide range of lived experiences will meaningfully improve our ability to enhance the actuarial profession globally.

IAA activities aim to promote collaboration with key stakeholders globally to identify, develop and support sound approaches to financial protection (e.g., insurance, private pensions, social security, health care insurance etc.) against the broad implications of pandemic-related risks.
