Executive Committee

The Executive Committee (EC) is elected by the Council to advance the operation of the IAA. It meets frequently throughout the year, and its major meetings are held twice a year in conjunction with the Council meetings. Its primary mandate is as follows: To manage and represent the organisation; To carry out the operational aspects of the IAA, including establishing and dissolving organisational structures; and To ensure appropriate implementation of the Strategic Plan by the various IAA entities reporting to the Executive Committee.

Establish/review organizational structures
Appoint committee leadership and members
Oversee committees, forums, and Sections
Manage external relations policies and agreements
Implement publication standards and processes
Handle budget recommendations and financial matters
Maintain administrative functions (domicile, ledgers, agenda)
Perform other Council-assigned duties
