IAIS Regional Seminar – Dakar, Senegal

The IAA was represented at the IAIS Regional Seminar in Dakar through the participation of Mathieu Langelier, Executive Director, alongside Yeside Kazeem and Elias Omondi.
Discussions throughout the seminar addressed key priorities for the insurance sector in Africa, including risk-based supervision, investment trends, and sustainable finance. Sessions highlighted the growing role of private markets, as well as the need to mobilize green financing beyond public funding to support climate-resilient infrastructure.
The seminar underscored the importance of collaboration and capacity building to support a more resilient and sustainable insurance sector across the region.
