Supranational Relations Update – London Climate Action Week

Audience: All

The IAA was represented by Yeside Kazeem at London Climate Action Week (21–29 June 2026), participating in a range of events focused on climate resilience, sustainability, and the role of insurance in supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.

A key highlight was the IAA representative's participation in the UNEP Transition Insurance Series, which provided an opportunity to connect with representatives from UNEP. Follow-up engagement is now underway, in coordination with the Climate Sustainability Committee (CSC), to arrange a meeting between the IAA and UNEP to explore areas of mutual interest and potential collaboration.

During the week, the IAA representative also attended the Humanity Insured Dinner hosted by Howden, the UNEP FI Global RoundtableUNEP Insurance and Nature Dividend, and Too Hot to Work: Financial Inclusion, Productivity, and Wellbeing. These events offered valuable insights into climate finance, ESG integration, financial inclusion, and innovative insurance solutions, while further strengthening the IAA's engagement with key stakeholders in the climate and sustainability community.
