The AI Task Force is excited to launch its first Hackathon competition! We encourage member associations to help spread the word by sharing the following message with their members.
We are excited to share an invitation to an inaugural international Kaggle competition event organized by AI Task Force of International Actuarial Association – specially designed for actuaries across the world who want to pick up AI and data science skillsets.
📅 When: 28-30 November 2025
🧠 Who: Open to all actuaries and actuarial students
🔍 What: Use the Kaggle's Ames Housing Dataset to build predictive models and gain insight into house pricing – with help from A.I. tools like ChatGPT.

IAA Represents Actuarial Voice at FinTech Forum in Amsterdam

Bogdan Tautan represented the IAA at IAIS’ FinTech Forum in Amsterdam , engaging in-person with a diverse group of members and stakeholders. He shared insights on underwriting practices and contributed to discussions on innovation, risk management, and professional standards.
The forum explored topics such as digital distribution, claims handling, AI applications, and emerging markets, highlighting the valuable role actuaries play in supporting the evolving FinTech ecosystem.
IAA Representatives Attend the Conference of Consulting Actuaries

Mathieu Langelier, Executive Director, and Christian Levac, Director of Communications & Engagement participated in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries Annual Meeting this past week.
They connected with members, exchanged ideas, and engaged with several of our dedicated volunteers and colleagues in person.

IAA Featured at Hellenic Actuarial Society Conference

IAA Representatives Attend the Society of Actuaries ImpACT Conference 2025

Mike Lombardi, IAA President-Elect, represented the International Actuarial Association at the Society of Actuaries (SOA) ImpACT Conference, held in Seattle, WA, from November 2 to 5, 2025.
The event, themed “Cultivating Global Connections,” brought together actuaries from around the world to exchange ideas, strengthen international collaboration, and explore emerging issues in the profession.
Mike Lombardi met with members, volunteers, and leaders from the global actuarial community, reinforcing the IAA’s ongoing engagement with key partners such as the SOA.
