1. Membership
Open to current and former educators and others interested in actuarial education and research. While membership of the network is open to everyone involved in actuarial education and research, including the many people who have not completed a formal actuarial qualification, the network will be specifically focussed on improving actuarial teaching and research, and not on dealing with student queries on study and examinations.

The purpose of the Actuarial Educators' Network is to provide resources for and facilitate communication about actuarial education and research

4. Governance and logistical support
Direction for the AEN will be provided by the Subcommittee for Actuarial Educators, which will be a Subcommittee of the Education Committee of the International Actuarial Association. The Subcommittee will work with the International Actuarial Association (IAA) to ensure appropriate budget and logistical support for the AEN from the IAA.
5. Meetings
The Subcommittee for Actuarial Educators will meet as per their own Terms of Reference. The AEN will publicise existing meetings of actuarial educators to all its members and may establish new meetings. In addition, as per section 3, they will be involved in the technical content of education conferences organised by the IAA.
6. Website
The IAA will host the website for the AEN. The website is intended to be a primary resource base for sharing of education and research resources.
