Colloquium InformationThe ASTIN 2007 Colloquium will be held at the Disney’s Contemporary® Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The Colloquium will commence with a welcoming reception on Tuesday, 19 June 2007, and conclude with the Gala Dinner on Friday, 22 June 2007. With approximately 43 million visitors yearly, Orlando is the fifth-ranking U.S. destination of overseas travelers. Each year visitors to Orlando enjoy the fascinating and exhilarating Epcot® and the opportunity to explore Orlando’s entertainment, historical, educational, and natural resources. With more than 95 attractions and year-round warm weather, Central Florida has something for everyone. The average high temperature in Orlando in June is 90°F/32°C and the average low is 72°F/22°C. Please note that all meeting facilities are climate controlled for maximum comfort. Orlando International Airport is located on the southeast side of Orlando, approximately 22 miles/35 kilometers or 30 minutes from Walt Disney World®. Private taxi service is available for approximately $50 U.S. one-way, or if you are staying at a participating Disney property, you may take advantage of Disney’s Magical Express® (details under Accommodation Information). The dress for the Gala Dinner on Friday will be dark suit for men and comparable for ladies. The dress for all other sessions and events will be resort casual. CancellationCancellation or alterations should be sent in writing to the Colloquium Secretariat via e-mail at meetings@casact.org or fax at +1-703-276-3108. Cancellations received before 14 April 2007 will be refunded 80 percent of the registration fee. After this date, no refunds will be made. |
